Gunash couldn’t deny itself this rock’ n’ roll must. A charming three-armed elephant whose look shows wisdom holds a pair of drumsticks in a hand, a guitar pick in another and the last one gives the horns, while it’s emerging from a darkness made of heavy cotton. Rock On!
Giada Mardegan from Sorry Mom! Painted the subject of this T-shirt. She had the brilliant idea to put near the English pronunciation of our band’s name to Ganesh, the Indian divinity with elephant head, creating a unique specimen that trumpets distorted chords. Hold it by its trunk and take it to you home for € 10,00 plus shipping cost. Size S to XXL.

NEED TO BLEED You are the hammer, I am the anvil You are the glamour, I am the envy You are the rule, I’m the obedience You are so cool, I’m full of negligence You are the storm, I am the lightning-rod Your care is so warm, I’m lacking in goad You are the wind, I am the sail. You’re green as mint, I’m a black veil I need to bleed, ‘cause I am a martyr I’m looking for divinity in you But I see greed that’s flowing just like water a transparency I can see through You are the light, I’m the dark corner You’re full of life, I am a mourner You are the truth, I am a believer You show me the proof, I start to shiver I need to bleed, ‘cause I am a martyr I’m looking for divinity in you But I see greed that’s flowing just like water a transparency I can see through
2.
Sicktown 03:22
SICKTOWN Look over the hill There’s an old brothel It’s been empty since a long time cause the bitches are around Some of them sell themselves for fame Or not to stay alone The smartest ones get married And become respectable Welcome (welcome) to Sicktown Share the sickness with us If you look for culture and refinement You mistook the place But if you’re hungry It’s the table you can join Everybody here eats Even the toothless We brag of being one step above The cattle we breed If you settle (settle down) in Sicktown Morbidity will infect you too Stay in Sicktown with us We’ll surely find an armchair For your big ass Dignity makes us giddy So we creep We humble ourselves To please the cheaters On the skeletons in the closet We hang our clothes We show normality But we have cobwebs in the head Become (become like us) a citizen of Sicktown and share the Grotesque with us
3.
MIRROR The sun is rising Creating its own dawn My body moves slowly ‘cause I’ve just woken up I’m searching for friendly eyes That I’ve never seen It’s time to get up, smile And pretend to live But if you want me I’m coming back to you And if you need me Try again The sun is high But my mind is not clear The neighbours are enemies Always hidden behind the curtains All around wicked eyes That try to judge me It’s time to close those eyes With simple words of truth But if you want me I’m coming back to you And if you need me Try again

STONE GARDEN (a moralistic song) Welcome my friend Come with me through this path Marble trees, opal flowers Birds are made of wood Sit down my friend Let me tell you a story About the death That came into this garden Grass turned into concrete Lost innocence on the playgrounds Take a walk into the stone garden Every step of man Brings to future (but are we sure of this?) War makes money And religion kills Mercy turned into anger Beauty turned into perfection Aseptic conjunctions instead of what we once called “love” Ignorance as wisdom Uselessness is essential Take a walk into the stone garden
6.
MEAN Look at yourself You’re as dry as a dead leaf Your veins are empty There’s no lymph inside you New enchanting eyes Brought no relief The fault is yours The guilt will crush you A stain, a shame You’re the one to blame Crawl, creep Implore their forgiveness Again she came But you lost the game The curtain rises For a show called “Meanness” Memories are ghosts That haunt your mind Stop looking at your navel Live a real life So fool to give up happiness When it was easy to find The promises made Were only wretched lies A stain, a shame You’re the one to blame Crawl, creep Implore their forgiveness Again she came But you lost the game The curtain rises For a show called “Meanness” A man with no future Always comes back to his past Resolve if you love more What it was or today Make your own decision But make it fast The carefree days Are all flown away A stain, a shame You’re the one to blame Crawl, creep Implore their forgiveness Again she came But you lost the game The curtain rises For a show called “Meanness”

DEATH COMES Using a fake look To avoid the enemy Is not enough It’s not the best choice you have Hiding deeply in dark places Won’t help Because they don’t have Any way out to light There’s no salvation No one can rescue you Changing smell To erase your trace Is not good If it has tasted you once Can find you everywhere It’s black and white And paints everything red Its food are lives A thing that eats now and forever There’s no salvation No one can rescue you Death comes for you Death comes for me Death comes for all
9.
Stray Dog 05:51
STRAY DOG My disease is loneliness That could be healed with a smile I walk the streets that never fed me While I’m dreaming about the sea Once I saw a flower Crying a bitter dew So much passed through these eyes And these ears of mine We paid with our time After a past of complicity We’re in a future that We both didn’t want to try Alone again and step by step I try not to trample on cracks The moon’s a breast full of milk The sun’s a yellow burning fire With you I thought to catch A drop of eternity My dignity is written on the sand And the tide is rising We paid with our time After a past of complicity We’re in a future that We both didn’t want to try
10.
THE KILLING SILENCE She was just looking For someone to love But married a man who Had only a mirror in his mind He never had time to laugh Because he was totally blind She was a flower Of an enchanted garden And every heart melted When it saw her Then her temper Began to harden Sadness in buckets She used to gather And she said “My love, my love Who wants my love? For so many times I kept it in jail My love, my love, Who needs my love? For too many nights I cried it in vane” She asked her husband: “Now listen, do you love me?” And caught him For the knot of his tie He didn’t answer and thought: “How can it be?” And of indifference she died She died She died She died She died “My love, my love Who wants my love? For so many times I kept it in jail My love, my love, Who needs my love? For too many nights I cried it in vane”

about

“GREAT EXPECTATIONS” is the third album of the Alternative Rock Band GUNASH and it’s released for the Go Down Records the 1st April 2017 on CD and digital format and the 15th June 2017 in Vinyl.
The album has the extraordinary contribution of the American musician RAMI JAFFEE (Foo Fighters), as keyboardist, but also as Artistic Producer.
A concept album with 10 original songs, including 3 singles (Death Comes, Need To Bleed, Stone Garden) recorded in Los Angeles, at the Fonogenic Studios of Rami Jaffee and Ran Pink, and published in the EP "SuperHeroes In Town (Go Down Records, 2016).
In The Album will be a Bonus Video Track with special contents about Live shows and Recording Studio experiences of Gunash with Rami Jaffee.

From April 2017 the Gunash start the "Great Expectations Tour".
In Saturday 8th April 2017 the first opening date and Release Party in the historic concert club Bloom in Mezzago (MB), Italy.

The album “GREAT EXPECTATIONS” is a kind of movie about society. And, like every movie, it uses different frames: panoramic shots on the very troubled world in which we live (the ironically self-absolutory “Stone Garden”) and on our own place of birth (“Sicktown”), seen by the shakespearian line “What is the city, but the people?”; cowboy shots where the protagonist faces his/her paranoic relationship with the others (“Mirror”), the one of subjection with the media “Need To Bleed”) and the relationship between lovers (“Mean”, “Stray Dog”, “The Killing Silence”).
Then there are innermost details (“Great Expectations”) full of hope and uncertainty, some disengagement (“Gunash Blues”) to act as an outlet valve to the tension stored little by little, and a macabre hymn to life (“Death Comes”).
While the end credits are running, we understand the message that the film director, with his disillusioned look, wanted to communicate: we must nurse “Great Expectations” towards us, first of all.
